Q: Can we get a refund for our child's registration?
Families are entitled to a refund if their child quits after the first practice. Since uniforms are ordered ahead of the season, there will be a deduction in the refund for the cost of the uniform plus the $3.00 Sport Connect refund processing fee.
Q:Will my daughter be able to practice or play in the game if we forget a mouth guard or shin guards?
A. Unfortunately, we cannot allow anyone to practice or play in a game without a mouth guard or shin guards. If your athlete is missing these items, they will need to sit on the sidelines.
Q. Do you have a lost and Found?
A: We do not have a lost and found and we are not responsible for any items left on the field after a game or practice. There are many sports teams that use the fields, so please make sure to check that you have everything before you leave the field. PLEASE label everything!
Q: When will I find out what days will my child practice and play? A: Games take place on Sundays. The 7/8 teams may compete in Saturday events as well. Practice days are determined based on coach and field availability. Practice schedules will be released in late August. Practice may take place at Victory Fields or other Colonial School District fields.
Q:Will all games take place at Victory Fields?
A: Home games will take place at Victory Fields. Away games and annual tournament will require travel. Travel games will be up to 50% of the fall schedule. All travel will be less than 30 minutes from Plymouth Meeting, PA.
Q: Can I request that my child be placed with certain friends/teammates or coaches?
A: We will not be able to accept teammate or coach requests this year. Teams will be made by draft after registration ends to evenly distribute skill level. If siblings are the same age, please email [email protected] if you wish for them to be placed together. All age groups practice on the same weeknight to facilitate carpooling.
Q: Can my athlete play without an active USA Field Hockey membership?
A: Unfortunately, your athlete cannot practice or play in games without an active USA Field Hockey Membership. Select Colonial Field Hockey Club when registering. All travel players registered with their travel club must email their active card to [email protected] prior to the 1st practice. To obtain your membership, visit www.usafieldhockey.com and select the appropriate membership.
Q: How can I become involved in Colonial Field Hockey Club?
A:We ask that all guardians participate in helping our fully volunteer club whether that be through coaching, a board position, snack stand, Play4thecure event, 7/8th grade banquet, fan gear sales. Everything runs smoother when we all help out.
Q: Which board positions are available?
A: We are currently seeking a Secretary, Snack Stand Coordinator, Banquet Coordinator and Play4thecure coordinators. Please reach out if interested.
Q: What can I do if my child's uniform does not fit?
A: Unfortunately, you select your child's size at registration and uniforms are ordered based on those selections. We do not order extra uniforms for size swaps.
Q: Who can help if I am unable to register my child due to birthdate restrictions?
A: Please email and a board member will assist with the registration.
Q: What if we missed the registration deadline?
A: Unfortunately, we cannot accept late registrations this year as uniforms will be ordered as soon as registration closes.
Q: Will all 5th-8th grade games be full field with a goalkeeper?
A:Many of the 7/8th grade games will be full field, but often the 5/6 games are half field with a 7v7 format.
Q:Will my athletes games be at the same time each week?
A: No, the schedule will vary from week to week based on field availability and other clubs availabilities.
Q: Can I donate used sticks and equipment to the club?
A: We will gladly accept used equipment for athletes who are in need. Email [email protected] to donate.
